Gauselmann recently re-opened a refurbished Merkur Casino, which is in Prague's Cerny Most shopping mall.

During the makeover work, which gave the casino a completely new look, the gaming floor area was increased from 600m2 to almost 1,000m2. "This Merkur Casino is our largest location in a European country outside Germany, and it's also the biggest electronic casino in the Czech Republic," explained Rolf Klug, member of the board of Gauselmann AG who attended the Cerny Most opening ceremony.

Merkur Casino is a subsidiary of the family-managed Gauselmann Group, and began launching Merkurbranding entertainment centers in the Czech Republic in 1992. There are 22 Merkur casinos in the Republic.
