Three pits at IGE
Gaming Partners International (GPI) set up three live display pits at IGE 2009 to demonstrate the benefits of its RFID chip systems. "Using the latest of our RFID chips technology, this is GPI's global software solution working with the most recent computer systems that allows efficient monitoring and management of the tables," explained Christophe Leparoux, GPI International Sales & Marketing Manager.
GPI's RFID systems also deliver cost savings to operators, according to Leparoux, including staff savings.
A casino in Manchester, UK, for instance, which has been running a comprehensive RFID system since May 2008 reports a halving of manual inventory on 11 RFIDenabled tables supported by cage and chip bank readers.
"A special feature was added to our operating software that signals any loss over £1,000 during a specific period of time," Leparoux says. "Staff and management at the Manchester site are enthusiastic about the system, and are achieving the benefits we are showcasing at IGE with live demonstrations in three gaming pits."
