The final table at this year’s No-Limit Texas Hold’em World Championship in the World Series of Poker will be held on Thursday, 10th August starting at noon.

The annual event, organized by Harrah’s Entertainment will have, for the second year in a row, official playing cards imported from a company in Brazil.

COPAG has been supplying playing cards since 1908 and now holds lead position globally as a high quality 100% plastic playing card manufacturer. The playing cards were both tested and approved by top poker players, and comply with the highest international standards.

COPAG manufactures and exports its products from modern facilities in Manaus, in Brazil’s Amazon region. Company policy emphasizes maintaining an ethical relationship with associates, customers, suppliers and local communities. Care of the environment is also a high priority and Environmental Risk Prevention programmes are run. Volunteers from the COPAG workforce undertake the promotion of social wellbeing and the provision of community services to the underprivileged, elderly and handicapped.

The 2006 World Series of Poker has a record number of players competing - there are around 8,000 entrants preparing to play at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino. This Friday will see the start of four days of reducing 2,000 hopefuls down to 800, so that a more manageable total of 3,200 will go through to the next round. With ESPN giving plenty of air time to the televised competition, COPAG playing cards will be the star of the show and seen by millions over the coming weeks and months.
