GamCare appoints Comms Director
GamCare’s board has announced the appointment of Nicola Crewe- Read (nee Weiner) as Director of Communications with immediate effect. Nicola assumes responsibility for all of GamCare’s media relationships and will be the first point of contact for all press enquiries.
After a 10-year career in investment banking, Nicola became a partner of College Hill Associates, the financial public relations consultancy.
The newly-created post forms part of a range of new communication initiatives at GamCare, the UK’s leading authority on the provision of information, advice and counselling in addressing the social impact of gambling.
Geoffrey Godbold, Chief Executive of GamCare, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nicola to the GamCare team. Her appointment is recognition of the need to raise the profile of GamCare in the run up to the full implementation of the Gambling Act next autumn and the need to raise public awareness of the practical implications of the Act.
