English Premiership club Reading FC’s players Glen Little, Steve Sidwell, Nicky Shorey, plus Brentford FC striker Lloyd Owusu helped celebrate the re-launch of the Reading Sporting Club Casino.

The star-studded party at the Stanley Casino marked the completion of the £2million remodelling and introduced the stunning new facilities to members for the first time.

Members can now take advantage of luxurious facilities as the new look casino boasts a brand new gaming floor, bar and restaurant. The latest in electronic gaming technology has also been introduced. Stanley’s investment ensures that the people of Reading continue to benefit from a state of the art casino, a fantastic environment in which to relax and a venue that complements the current nightlife in the town.

Stanley Casinos, the UK’s leading Casino operator, currently owns 46 casinos across the country. The refurbishment at Richfield Avenue is part of an on-going programme of refurbishments and new casino openings that is currently underway across the country.

The investment in the 19,000 square foot development also produces 10 new jobs for local people in Reading, highlighting Stanley Casinos’ commitment to building relationships within the community and a sustainable future.

Speaking after the event, Casino Manager Jimmy Howard commented: “The refurbishment is finally complete and looks stunning. I have to say a big ‘thank you’ to the players from Reading FC who came along to help us celebrate and I’m now looking forward to welcoming more and more guests along to enjoy the experience first-hand.”
