It’s all go, this industry, isn’t it? Just when you sit down for a breather, some law changes or a merger happens and it all begins again… But that’s also part of the reason it’s so exciting.

In the UK, the new laws regarding casino advertising have finally been announced and about time too. The antiquated rules operators had to abide by before were insulting to the general public to say the least; hopefully now they’ll be allowed to make an informed decision about whether to use their local casino or not, and some of the myths about the industry in the UK can be dispelled. In parts of the UK, it is still seen as being a seedy thing, the casino a place frequented by criminals and lowlifes. Perhaps, with these new rules, the re-education can begin.

Of interest this issue, apart from our regular columnists, there’s a fascinating interview with IGT’s James Boje, and another with Interblock’s top men, CEO Tomaz Zvipelj and founder Joc Pececnik.

If that’s not enough, check out the enormous, in-depth ICE report that concludes over 10 pages, starting on page 30. Enjoy!
