Outgoing English Prime Minister Tony Blair has revealed at Prime Minister's questions that he supports at least two supercasinos for England, with one in Manchester and the other in Blackpool.

Outgoing English Prime Minister Tony Blair has revealed at Prime Minister's questions that he supports at least two supercasinos for England, with one in Manchester and the other in Blackpool.

Blair said: "Personally I have never seen the reason why we should have Blackpool and Manchester pitted against each other. If the investment is there and able to be done, let's do both of them."

Blair also said that the current Labour government hoped to bring forward proposals "very shortly" to introduce regional casinos after the revised proposal, for 17 casinos, was rejected by peers in March.
