Novomatic secures a major installation in Spain, as featured in Casino International's Installations feature.

Novomatic recently secured their first major installation in Spain, thanks to the company’s Barcelona sales and service hub. The Spanish arm of Novomatic has an agreement with Grup Peralada, a major hotel, resort and casino group. Through its flagship operation, Casino Barcelona, Grup Peralada operates the largest casino in Spain, as well as three further high class casinos.

Casino Barcelona guests will now find a comprehensive Novo Multi-Roulette installation running on the server-based Novo Unity multi-player platform. The electronic Roulette installation features a fully automated Roulette wheel and 18 individual slant top terminals for maximum player comfort and ultimate Roulette excitement. Novo Multi-Roulette has only recently been licensed for Catalunya and the Casino Barcelona is the first casino in Spain to offer Novomatic gaming equipment.

Jordi Pedragosa, Sales Director Novomatic Gaming Spain: “Winning the acceptance of a customer like the Grup Peralada makes a great debut for our company and positions us ideally in the Spanish gaming market. Spanish casinos are generally very exclusive and set high standards with regards to quality and innovation, and it is a testament to Novomatic’s reputation that the interest in our products is already lively. I am positive that Novomatic gaming equipment will quickly establish a firm position in Spain, based largely on our total commitment to product excellence and customer service.”

Meanwhile, Austrian Gaming Industries (AGI), part of the Novomatic Group, has scored significan success in Belgium with electronic Roulette product. Following an amendment to Belgian gaming legislation which opened up the market, AGI has blazed a trail by installing Novo Multi Roulette at three casinos in the country. The new amendments to the gaming law in Belgium were passed at the beginning of this year, and AGI did not hesitate in having its internationally best selling electronic Roulette product Novo Multi-Roulette licensed for the Belgium market.

The first installations are now being delivered to the Grand Casino Brussels (Casinos Austria International), and the Blankenberge and Middelkerke seaside Casinos, both of which are owned by the Rank Group. Each of the three installations comprises 12 slant-top player terminals as well as an automated Roulette wheel. All three Roulette installations are powered by the server-based Novo Unity multi-player platform and thus offer high usability and maximum flexibility for the operator as well as highest security standards in daily operation and numerous further features such as the controlling tool Management Console.

“Electronic Roulette products have been long awaited by Belgian casino operators and their arrival is most welcome,” says Marnix Baes, Regional Sales Manager of the local distributor Gaming Support Belgium N.V. “We are very happy that the new regulations now permit us to introduce AGI’s Novo Multi Roulette. It is a high quality product that allows casinos to offer their guests modern Roulette entertainment with increased privacy and comfort.”

He adds: “I am positive that electronic Roulettes will bring a new dimension of excitement to the Belgian casino market – and with Novo Multi-Roulette we offer the world’s most successful product.”
