Bally Technologies at G2E: “the future… Today!”
Over 100 unique game titles in almost 11,000 square feet of space...
For G2E 2007, Bally has selected the theme “The Future… TODAY!,” which will form the backdrop for more than 100 unique game titles in nearly 11,000 square feet of space in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. As the company with the broadest array of technology among all global gaming suppliers, Bally is presenting “The Future… TODAY!” as games and systems technology converge.
“Our theme ‘The Future… TODAY!’ represents a commitment to our international gaming customers to provide technology with a high return on investment today,” said Richard Haddrill, CEO of Bally Technologies. “In other words, our products will make a positive impact today and be compatible with any products or technology that may be in demand in the future. As the world’s systems leader and a company with a lot of momentum on the games side, we think we are in a unique position to deliver what our international customers are asking for, both now and in the future.”
International Games
Bally’s game development teams have been spending a considerable amount of energy creating new titles for the exploding international gaming market. Leading this array of new international titles is Pyramid Progressives, a seven-level progressive that allows players to increase their wager for an opportunity to randomly play a unique, pyramid-themed progressive feature at the start of each game instead of playing the normal game. Pyramid Progressive game titles include Golden Lotus, Ninja Star and Titan’s Treasure.
In addition to Pyramid Progressives, Bally will also present a number of new video and reel-spinning slot designed exclusively for the international gaming market. These games include Celestial Winds, Fortune Frog, Phoenix Forturne, Lucky Dragon Quest, Double Dragon Two-Way Frenzy and an international version of the popular domestic title, Reel Money, on the S9E reel-spinning platform.
“The Networked Floor Of The Future”
While much has been made of the prospect of server-based gaming having a dramatic impact on casino floors in years to come, Bally has chosen to demonstrate a more beneficial approach for operators at this year’s G2E. Bally’s vision of “The Networked Floor Of The Future” includes future server-based gaming applications, but more importantly it allows casino operators to capitalize on revenue-generating technology with a high return on investment available today. Bally’s product lineup allows operators to plan for a series of technology phases that will ultimately drive more gaming play in the future while improving the overall experience of casino visitors.
CineReels cabinet launch
Bally took the concept behind its wildly successful CineVision slant-style video slot cabinet and created the new CineReels cabinet featuring up to seven mechanical reels — an industry first. Multiple game titles in three-, four-, five- and seven-reel configurations will be on display at G2E.
CineReels also features a high-resolution 20-inch wide-screen touch-enabled display ideally located for interactive gaming. With enhanced audio and a standard footprint, CineReels is ergonomically designed and player friendly and features a well-positioned player-tracking interface and comfortable arm rest.
Premium games
One of the key highlights at this year’s Bally booth will be the official sales debut of the much-anticipated Game Maker HD multi-game platform. Originally introduced in 1994, Game Maker was the first multi-game to gain widespread acceptance among casino players. Now, 13 years and tens of thousands of Game Makers later, the new Game Maker HD is reborn as a modern technological masterpiece in the ALPHA Elite V20 / 20 and CineVision cabinets and the new ALPHA Elite Bartop with the same widescreen display found in the ALPHA Elite family of upright cabinets.
In addition, some of the other key premium games on display include Hot Shot Frenzy, a new four-reel variations of the highly successful five-reel Hot Shot Progressive series, available in both video and stepper configurations. Hot Shot Frenzy features four mini-versions of Bally’s popular “frenzy”-style reel-spinners as part of an exciting bonus-round experience for players. A new seven-reel Super Tournament Progressives game on the CineReels cabinet will also be unveiled.
Bally will also present a new video slot title based on its popular “Quick Hit” game model. This new multi-level progressive game will be called Quick Hit Platinum and will be presented on Bally’s visually striking ALPHA Elite V32 cabinet, featuring a 32-inch vertical touch-sensitive video display.
Other premium games on display will include Mega Winners, Reel Winners, Instant Spin, Power Progressive and Reel Control. Bally will also showcase wide-area progressive games for its QuarterMillion$ link and licensed titles such as Atari PONG, Atari Breakout, Breeders’ Cup and S&H Green Stamps. Both Breeders’ Cup and Super Tournament Progressives are unique examples of community gaming and the concept of rewarding all of the players on the bank when one machine goes into a bonus event.
“High-denomination” games
This year Bally will feature many new game titles targeted at the “high-denomination” player who enjoys 25-cent and $1 base denominations. Power Progressive, Quick Hit Progressives, Reel Control, Reel Winners Spin & Win, Multi-Play Blackjack, Roulette and Instant Spin are among the titles targeting this segment of the market. Additionally, up to a dozen of Bally’s most popular S6000 high-denomination titles are being brought forward to the award-winning ALPHA Elite S9000 cabinet.
Bally Systems
Bally Systems continues to lead the way with an expanded presence this year, showcasing technology from three distinct product lines — Bally Casino Management Systems (CMS), Bally Slot Management Systems (SMS), Bally Table Management Systems (TMS) and Bally Power Bonusing.
As the dominant player in gaming systems technology, Bally is displaying and demonstrating an array of advanced products for the global casino industry, including technology from the SDS, ACSC, MCC, Bally MultiConnect, CMS/400, Bally One System, CMP, TableView and Bally Live Rewards product lines.
The Bally Power Bonusing suite of products includes the player-centric bonusing capabilities of Bally Power Rewards, electronic-credit transfer with powercash funds access to credit/debit accounts through Bally Power Bank, and integrated casino-wide promotional capabilities with Bally Power Promotions, Bally Power Coupon, Bally Power Sweepstakes and Bally Power Winners.

Additionally, Bally Systems will also be showing a new Business Intelligence module that offers casino operators a powerful data warehouse application with a business-specific interface built around enhanced data visualization technology.
