Vologda region failed making gaming amendments

Vologda is now in fully occupied in developing the new law “On gaming venues location within Vologda Region.”

In March the law was passed in the first hearings and was forwarded to be approved by districts of the region. According to Nicolas Melnikov, deputy of local legislative assembly, the replies haven’t been received from the regions yet. Most probably they all approve the law. Let us remember that the law imposes prohibition to settle gaming machines inside cultural, educational and medical establishments, and within shopping places as well. Moreover the machines should be installed only within special venues with an area no less than 80 sq. m. A casino must be no less than 400 sq. m. Today it is hardly possible to estimate budget losses caused by restrictive area measures for the gaming machines. The next hearings of the legislation are planned for the end of June.
