2008 promises much, with new casinos springing up seemingly everywhere and new territories opening up and moving toward regulated gaming.

Las Vegas Sands have acquired the funding to complete their epic Singapore project, which must have been difficult considering the current negative state of the financial markets in the US; in Europe, the Gran Scala project, a staggeringly ambitious plan to build theme parks and casino hotels in Aragon, Spain, is also under way with groundbreaking expected September 2008. We caught up with ILD and Aristocrat’s Christian Colus, and you can read our conversation about Gran Scala in this update.
Elsewhere in the magazine, we also caught up with Signs4U ahead of ICE, the ever-fascinating Cadillac Jack, a company that’s really going places, found out all about JCM’s stunning Trident product, Aristocrat’s new ‘green’ slot machine and Detroit’s Motor City Casino improvements.
Oh, and don’t forget to read the Macau Business interview with MGM’s Terry Lanni – it’s excellent!
