Ethan Tower is the new Protocol Director for the Gaming Standards Association (GSA), and has joined the organisation as a staff member. He is responsible for overseeing the continuing development of GSA's System-to-System (S2S) protocol as well as for ensuring alignment of schemas between S2S and the Game-to-System (G2S) protocol.

Tower is a 15-year veteran of the gaming industry who has held system development positions with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, GameLogic, Foxwoods Resort Casino, International Game Technology and the SyCo Development Corporation.

While working with IGT and SyCo, Tower was one of the principal developers of the IGS casino management system. For the last five years Tower has been the driving force behind GSA's XML-based standards.
