Jamaica's Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett has spoken up for plans to introduce casinos to his country, echoing the point made by Prime Minister Bruce Golding that the government intends casino gaming to be part of a wider tourism offering, and re-asserting that it would form no more than 15 per cent of the total experience.

The Island's tourism capital, Montego Bay, is expected to be the location for a US$1.5 billion, 1,000-room complex with a marina and facilities for fine dining and high-class shows as well as gaming.
