Cantor Gaming acquires Wichinsky creative assets
Cantor Gaming has acquired the assets of Michael "Mickey" Wichinsky's businesses, which include a catalogue of casino games, an art library, and other intellectual property.
Mickey Wichinsky, who developed a portfolio of gaming content over 50 years, remains as a consultant to Cantor as it integrates and adapts games and content from the Wichinsky catalogue onto its mobile gaming device, eDeck.
The wireless hand-held eDeck is undergoing trials in the High Limit Slot Salon at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, and is due to feature at the Las Vegas M Resort, Spa and Casino. Cantor Gaming's mobile gaming system will permit the play of familiar casino-style games, such as slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and poker, within the casino property, yet away from the confines of the traditional casino floor.
Guests at the M Resort will be able to play on handheld devices in designated areas throughout the resort and bet in unique ways in the resort's race and sports book.
Wichinsky said: "What Cantor Gaming is doing in Las Vegas is changing the rules for casinos. I'm pleased to be contributing to that."
