Bally Technologies is enlarging its international sales and operations team, and has returned to a direct sales model in the South African market.

Allwin Language has joined Bally Technologies as Director of South Africa, responsible for all administrative, sales, and service operations in the company's new Johannesburg office. Language moves from IGT Africa, where he was Sales & Marketing Director.

The company's Vice President of International, John Connelly, said: "We have demonstrated our commitment to this market and its opportunities by opening an office and appointing Allwin to manage the business. Allwin's knowledge and extensive sales and marketing experience in Africa's gaming industry will help continue to advance Bally's presence in the fast-growing South Africa market."

Meanwhile, in Mexico, Carlos Engel joins Bally as Director of Mexico Sales and Operations, based in the company's Mexico City office. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

And at its Las Vegas HQ, Timothy G. Spatharos, previously Bally's Director of Outbound Logistics, has become the company's Director of International Operations. He is responsible for managing Bally's global gaming operations, including supervising game installs, managing service-related issues, and supporting the Company's international sales activities and gaming operations.

"As our international business continues to gain momentum, Carlos and Tim will be key to leading important initiatives from a sales, service, and product perspective to ensure that we meet the needs of our international customer base," Connelly added.
