Storm leads in Responsible Gaming activities
Storm International has been acknowledged as the leader in the development of a responsible attitude to gambling in Eastern Europe, collecting an award during a gala dinner held in Sofia during the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo.
Storm International was the first company in Russia to set up a Responsible Gaming Programme, acting independently and at its own expense. It was also the first to raise and enforce the minimum age at which it allowed gamblers to enter its properties - Russian law allows 18-year-olds to gamble, but Storm requires its customers to be aged at least 21. The company also set up a Responsible Gaming Fund, with the aim of spreading the principles of Responsible Gaming among all gaming operators in CIS.
An independent help centre has been financed and, with the help of UK organisation GamCare and the Russian entity NAN, is advertised in all Storm properties and also provides literature to help addicted gamblers and their families.
