President, Chief Operating Officer and Secretary Paul  Meyer departed from Shuffle Master at the expiration of his contract at the end of October to pursue other opportunities. Mr Meyer will be available to the company as a part-time employee for a period of time, but will no longer serve as an Officer of the Company.

Mark Yoseloff,  Chairman and Chief Executive Officer commented that "In the five years since Paul joined Shuffle Master, he has been instrumental in a variety of key initiatives that have positioned our Company for future growth and success. On behalf of Shuffle Master's worldwide family, I would like to thank Paul for his unwavering dedication to our strategic objectives and for the role he has played in making Shuffle Master a stronger, more diverse global company."

Shuffle Master has promoted David Lopez, Roger Snow and Jerry Smith to Executive Vice Presidents of the Company and has separated the roles of Chairman of the Board from that of Chief Executive Officer. The board elected Philip Peckman, a current independent director, as its new non-executive Chairman. And in order to "streamline its domestic operations and improve efficiencies", the company is consolidating the Shuffle Master Americas division with its Corporate group, both of which are headquartered in Las Vegas.
