Rank Group's Grosvenor Casinos unit has opened a new venue offering slots and electronic roulette in the northern English city of Leeds. The firm has invested £300,000 ($500,000) in the Electric Casino, located beneath its existing casino in the Podium Building on Merrion Way, installing ten slots with £4000 ($6700) jackpots and 11 electronic roulette terminals as well as a lounge area. Grosvenor Managing Director Phil Urban said the Electric Casino would complement the Leeds venue already operated by Grosvenor, offering "the chance to experience the latest in gaming technology within a friendly, safe and informal environment".
