The greatest gaming show on earth – but for how long?
Casino International reports back from Las Vegas on what's hot from one of the most exciting exhibitions on the planet

After overtaking the revenues from the Las Vegas Strip, Macau’s casinos are gearing up to be bigger than all of Clark County. And this is something that might be just around the corner, says João Francisco Pinto of Macau Business.

Not that that this issue is being rushed owing to the G2E Las Vegas show and the forthcoming Xmas festivities, but we must go to press earlier than usual and, along with a very full year, we just don’t know where 2007 has gone.  We are sure, though, that for the gaming industry this year has been unmatchable.

Too much of something is usually not good. We typically think of that in terms of extravagances, but what about too much negativity? Regular readers will know that I often quote my late father Stan; He was a master of poignant and meaningful stories, and this tale was framed in his office.

You can call them what you like – multiplayer gaming machines, multiterminal gaming machines, or ‘slots on steroids’ – they’re on the up. Graeme Kidd reports.
