Upsets at Las Vegas Sands
William Weidner was told he would be removed from the posts of President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Las Vegas Sands in early March, after a 13-year career with the company.
He resigned in early March. His departure was followed by the resignation of Director James Purcell, who stated "It was, in my judgment, wrong to engage in discussions with Weidner to request his resignation without a full and open discussion of the potential consequences of the series of actions that were planned."
Later in the month, Brad Stone, Executive Vice President and President of Global Operations and Construction also resigned, but didn't give reasons in his filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
