Despite the problems in Russia, most companies seem to be compensating for the sudden gaps in their cashflow by focusing on many other markets. European companies look to South America, as have many large Russian manufacturers; other companies have joined forces to provide a better service; some seem to have gone from strength to strength with Russia barely a blip on their radar.
Recently I was lucky enough to visit Casino Technology in their new building in Sofia, the Bulgarian capital. The staff were welcoming, as usual, the functions they organised were great fun and the building itself is certainly a worthy base for this up-and-coming group.
While I was there, a deal was signed between Merkur and Casino Technology to develop gaming locations initially within Bulgaria. This is an exciting development for both companies. JCM are also using the new building as a base for a Bulgarian ‘arm’ of the company, which should help them expand into Eastern Europe effectively.
All in all, the future is bright for Casino Technology. The company is forward-looking, seems to be very well-run and the staff are outstanding. It’s this kind of enthusiasm and long-term view that will reap dividends for Casino Technology in future, and may provide a blueprint for other Eastern European companies in future. You can read about the visit on pages 42 and 43.
As always, your feedback is welcomed - the email address is below.
Enjoy.
