Nugget launches World Slot Series
The Las Vegas Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino welcomed 280 competitors to the first World Series of Slots tournament in April. After battling head-to-head through eight rounds, one player walked away with the $100,000 grand prize, part of a $262,000 prize pot. A $10,000 Bonus Tournament was open to players knocked out in the first round.
"A World Series of Slots has never been done before, and players from all over loved the head-to-head challenge," said Tilman Fertitta, chief executive officer, Golden Nugget. "This event was a huge success we're sure to repeat."
