ICE sees further growth
Published:  01 October, 2006

The 2007 International Casino Exhibition (ICE), will be the biggest ever in the show’s history, with organisers Clarion ATE projecting a year-on-year growth in exhibits of more than 43 per cent.

January’s event will see around 230 suppliers occupy 14,500 square metres (156,020sq.ft.) of net floor space, compared with 186 exhibitors covering 10,100sqm. in 2006.

Having completely filled its home in the Earls Court 2 exhibition hall, ICE is now expanding into the adjacent Hall 1, which also accommodates the remote gaming sister show, ICEi, as well as the soft gaming component of ATEI. The non-gaming element of ATEI (amusements and electronic leisure equipment) is now located on Level 1 of Earls Court 1, linked by escalators in the centre of Hall 1.

As in previous years, the main entrance and registration facilities for ICE will be found at the West Brompton entrance to Earls Court, directly facing the West Brompton Underground/Railway Station. London Show visitors, whether they are badged ICE, ICEi or ATEI, will have free access to all three parts of the exhibition. Clear signage and easy-to-follow 3-D floor plans will be deployed to help buyers navigate the three-hall layout, as well as high-visibility floor walkers, whose job it will be to direct attendees to where they want to go in the shortest possible time.

Head of Exhibitions, Karen Cooke commented: “2007 will be the biggest London Show to date for all three component exhibitions, with upwards of 500 exhibitors occupying around 30,000 square metres (322,800sq.ft.) of net floor space. The restructuring of the floor plan, which has allowed us to achieve this momentous landmark, will mean that seasoned visitors will need additional help to find their favourite suppliers on the show floor, so we have ring fenced additional resources to make the changeover as smooth as possible for all our customers.”

“Furthermore,” added Cooke, “the availability of more floor space has enabled us to add further visitor facilities throughout the show, with a dedicated bar/restaurant now integrated on the main ICE show floor, as well as meeting areas, networking zones and improved business services made available to all within ICE, ICEi and ATEI.”

The latest 3-D and 2-D floor plans can be downloaded from www.iceexhibition. com, with updates being added in the run up to the show.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
