BetStone opens Mexico office to improve Latin America support

Server-based gaming systems supplier BetStone is the latest to strengthen its commitment to the Latin American market, with the opening of a new office in Mexico City and the launch of games and management software at ELA.

BetStone - headquartered in Dublin, Ireland - is setting up its office in the Mexican capital to provide a local support presence for its customers in Central and South America.

The firm also used this summer's ELA event in the city to debut a range of new games and content-management software.

Four new bingo varieties - Electro, Mayan, Pharaoh and Sambo - are deploying with customers from this summer, while other BetStone launches at ELA include Break da Bank, Prime Property, Rapunzel, Secret Admirer, Sure Win and Zodiac.

They bring BetStone's range to nearly 100 games. The firm's new contentmanagement software, meanwhile, allows operators to centrally control multiple machines offering BetStone games and select from the game library.

The launch last year of ELA - the Exposición Latinoamericana de Juegos de Azar - as a dedicated Latin American trade show was an indication of the gaming sector's growth in the region, now underlined by BetStone's move and by other recent developments such as the new partnership between the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) and event organiser Monografie, under which AGEM will lend its support to Monografie's South American Gaming Suppliers Exhibition (SAGSE) in Buenos Aires for the next two years.

"[Latin American] markets are critical for BetStone and following our recent office opening in Mexico, we are very focused on bringing the benefits of our server-based gaming to casino operators in these markets," said John Gevisser, BetStone's Sales and Marketing Director.
