Hem upgrades to Bingo 2.2 as Gtech plans liquidity boost

Sweden's online operator Hem Bingo has become the first to upgrade to the Bingo 2.2 system from Gtech's G2 division.

The software supports multiple currencies, linked games, and a set of multi-lingual mini-games shown in the main bingo window. These include progressive slots, table games, video poker and scratch-cards.

Atul Bali, President of Gtech G2, said that the development of Bingo 2.2 drew on the resources of Boss Media and St. Minver, both of which were acquired by Gtech in 2008 to build its interactive business.

The software will continue to be updated each quarter, while Gtech is also looking to bring together users into a single, more liquid network.

"In early 2010, we plan to merge Boss Media's bingo partners with St. Minver's International Bingo Network to create one large combined network using G2 Bingo software and operated from our Bingo hub in Gibraltar," said Alison Digges, Group Head of Bingo for Gtech G2.

"Pooling the liquidity of over 80 bingo partners will make the Gtech G2 Bingo network one of the leading networks in 2010," she added.
