New Russian casino has to bus in customers
Anew casino has opened in the Rostov region of Russia just seven months after the government sequestered all gambling into four remote zones. The Oracle is about 60 miles from Rostov-on-Don, near the Black Sea and Russia’s border with Ukraine.
It has 200 slots and ten gaming tables, but currently no hotel – though construction is hoped to begin this summer, and owner Royal Time Company says it plans to invest around $150m over three to four years to upgrade the site to a fully-featured resort.
For now, buses are bringing gamblers in from Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar.
