Company Launches Pro Series Cabinets; Introduces Golden Empire Mystery Progressive Link

Exemplifying its commitment to become the technological partner of choice for casino operators, Bally Technologies continues to develop innovative and profit-generating solutions for casinos around the globe. With G2E Asia upon us, Bally is planning to introduce various products for the first time to the Asia-Pacific region, innovations such as the Golden Empire Mystery Progressive Link solution that was specifically developed for local operators; and the new Pro Series family of cabinets, which are driven by Bally’s new ALPHA 2 platform and feature Bally’s trailblazing iDeck, the industry’s first and only touch-screen button deck.

“Bally is committed to making all of its latest innovations available to casino operators around the world, and the Asia-Pacific region will not be the exception,” said Cath Burns, Bally’s Vice President and Managing Director – Asia-Pacific. “The launch of our new Pro Series cabinets with the revolutionary iDeck and the introduction of the locally developed Golden Empire Mystery Progressive Link to the Asia-Pacific audience reiterate that commitment.”

Bally’s Innovation
The incomparable iDeck completely redefines player-game interaction as its limitless versatility offers extensive customizable features, virtual games, and mystery bonusing. The iDeck is definitely a revolutionary innovation as it is the first full video player interface in the gaming industry. With the multi-touch iDeck, when new game content is installed, the button configuration instantly changes to match the game – operators will never need to change a button deck again.
Bally’s state-of-the-art Pro Series cabinets will be officially launched for the Asia-Pacific region at G2E Asia. The Pro Series cabinets are driven by the power of Bally’s new ALPHA 2 platform that enables new levels of interactivity and visual quality with 3D-graphic animations and streaming video on up to five monitors. The ALPHA 2 operating system allows for more interactive, impactful, and graphically stunning games. These modern cabinets are highlighted by various energy-saving features and were built for easy serviceability and maximum player comfort. They support downloadable content and are ready for networked and server-based gaming environments.

“The Pro Series cabinets will set a new standard in customer-driven, cost-saving, and cutting-edge cabinet design,” Burns said. “Combined with the ALPHA 2 operating system, casino operators will have an extremely versatile platform to launch games, drive ROI, and increase profitability.”

Bally’s sleek, trim, and modern Pro Series V22/22 cabinet stands out thanks to its innovative design, custom surround sound, and unrivaled player comfort. Some of the games highlighted on this cabinet are Seagull Sam, Bacchus Gold, and Ole Jalapeños. Seagull Sam and Bacchus Gold offer the popular play mechanic Holding Wilds. In Holding Wilds, during the free games bonus, any wild symbol that appears will “lock” in that position and hold for the remainder of the free games feature. An additional five free games can be won with three scattered free games symbols and ends when no free games remain.

Both Ole Jalapeños’ titles – Mild & Wild and Hot & Spicy –offer a three-level progressive and an entertaining bonus event in which players get to interact with Bally’s unique touch-screen iDeck. When the player gets three scattered progressive symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, the bonus feature begins.  On a second screen bonus, the player will see various jars.  As the player picks jars by touching jars on the iDeck or main game screen, a pepper will be revealed in three colors: green, yellow, and red.  Each color is associated with a different progressive level.  While max bet is required for the progressives, the player can still get into this bonus feature and will win a prize proportional to its bet.

“We are introducing some titles with proven and successful play mechanics that we know will appeal to and attract Asian players,” Burns added. “We have a very strong line-up of games with exciting play mechanics which will be making their way into the Asia-Pacific region shortly. We are extremely excited about the broad selection and quality of core video games that we will be offering our customer in the short and long run.”

Golden Empire Mystery Progressive Link Delivers Lucrative Rewards
Bally’s Golden Empire Mystery Progressive Link is the first theme in the Company’s new mystery progressive link family and it offers a three or four-level mystery progressive link for casino operators to add excitement to game play. With the Golden Empire link over Bally’s standalone video slot machines, players can win one of the three or four randomly triggered progressive jackpots, depending on the operator’s configurations; no max bet is required to win one of the progressive amounts. The attract loops playing on the overhead sign package feature large LCD screens displaying dramatic animated sequences of festive celebrations, dragon dancing, sword fighting, and fireworks erupting as the winning jackpot level is displayed and celebrated.

“This locally created progressive link goes in line with our customer-centric focus as we continue to develop exclusive products that appeal to Asian customers,” Burns said. “We have seen how popular mystery progressive slots have become in this region; we are extremely pleased to launch Golden Empire to stay on top of current industry trends and deliver our customer-partners the technology they need to stay competitive.”

Insight into Bally’s showing
at G2E Asia
Showcased for the first time in Asia will be Bally’s breakthrough game Code Red.  Presented on Bally’s new Pro Curve cabinet featuring a first-of-its-kind 22-inch “curved” LCD display, the Pro Curve offers players the look and feel of a traditional reel-spinning slot with the modern convenience and technology of video. The award-winning Code Red offers a number of interactive features currently only seen in video games. Featuring Bally’s award-winning U-Spin gesture-control play mechanic to award free games, progressive jackpots, or bonus credits, Code Red is highlighted by a new Free Games play mechanic that showcases prizes on each reel – above the reel strip. Players can win either bonus credits, locked wild symbols, or a locked wild reel during the free games feature.

With the overwhelmingly popularity of table games in casinos across Asia, Bally offers operators TableView, an innovative table-management solution that allows operators to replace their existing manual rating process with the ease and simplicity of electronic automation. With TableView, it is possible to create an almost paperless environment in the pit and eliminate the delays of entering and updating ratings into the casino management system. TableView also provides a higher standard of customer service by reducing the amount of time required by supervisors to capture and register player ratings. Bally’s TableView system was designed to provide floor operations staff with a fast and easy solution for entering player ratings, managing requests for chip fills and credits, handling table closers, and issuing customer comps and markers in realtime.

“Our objective to form strong and long-lasting partnership with our customers has not changed,” Burns commented. “We will continue to provide our customers in both established and emerging markets with the latest games, systems, and server-based innovations to help them succeed. We are especially focused on markets such as Australia, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.”
