Crane Payment Solutions represents 184 years of collective experience. We believe our founder, R.T. Crane, would be proud.

Back in 1855, if you told Richard T. Crane that his company would someday be worth over $2.2 billion dollars, he may have just believed you. From a humble beginning casting lightening rod tips, Crane quickly engaged his company into America’s fastest growing industries; Construction and Transportation – and he didn’t stop there.

Over the next 100 years Crane Co. retained parent company status and spawned five separate divisions developing numerous technologically-advanced products for many industries including aerospace, electronics, engineered materials, and fluid handling.

Crane Co. history includes lending water pumps to help douse the Great Fire of Chicago in 1871; 30 years of pioneering elevator innovations for safe and reliable operations before selling the branch to Otis Elevator Company; and supplying railing materials for the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco in 1935.  The 1951 Hydro-Aire acquisition established Crane Co. as a supplier to military & commercial aircraft industries and manufacturer of coolant hardware for the Apollo space missions.

Although officially Crane Payment Solutions has only been around for five years, the brands behind the name: NRI, CashCode, Money Controls and Telequip (retail) collectively hold 184 years of history and innovation.  It is this experience that drives us forward, and gives us strength to continuously improve upon company traditions.
Driven by Innovation

Combined, Crane Payment Solutions holds over 200 patents and boasts several industry changing standards.

In 1996 Money Controls introduced ccTalk serial protocol which is now widely accepted as an industry standard and in 2010 subsequently added DES encryption to certain commands to make it more resilient against attacks on the system.  Money Controls was also the first bill validation company to introduce full note scanning capabilities and unique last bill imaging technology.

In 1997 CashCode was granted a patent for split housing or better known as tool free service access which was a revolutionary idea at the time.  In 2000 CashCode introduced a FrontLoad bill validator with a true centering mechanism which is still envied today.

NRI developed the first electronic validator for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.  It was installed in ticket vending machines for the German Railways.

…And Spotted with Character

Crane Payment Solutions prides itself on finding the best-in-class sales, engineering, manufacturing and support staff.  With over 800 personnel on a global scale, they have certainly gathered a wide variety of distinguished talent.

Bill Murphy has been in the gaming industry for close to 27 years.  Starting at Money Controls UK as just a lad, he has moved up the corporate ladder holding several positions within the company before being transferred to Sydney, Australia to open a corporate office.  Since 1996 Bill has been increasing year-on-year sales in the Asia Pacific region positioning Money Controls as a preferred gaming supplier.

Former UK rugby professional Tony Morrison has been with Money Controls for 20 years, currently holding the position of European Sales Director for last seven years. Tony started his career at Money Controls as a Design Engineer and moved though manufacturing before becoming management and a well known face of the company.

We cannot think of anyone who lives and breathes Gaming more than Jim Gabriele.  For 18 years Jim has been representing the forefront of Gaming technology. Well respected by all his peers, Jim started his career in manufacturing and worked on his customer service skills before deciding to represent the best-of-the-best products available as he moved throughout several companies before settling with Crane as the North American Director of Sales & Business Development.

Representing Latin America is the ever-charming Aquiles Mila de La Roca.  Throughout his 11 years in the Gaming industry, he has brought great success to companies he has represented.  Since joining Money Controls in 2004, Aquiles has used his superior networking skills to build a strong distribution group with local OEMs and operators to position the company as a preferred supplier in the region.

Andrew Mokin has been synonymous with Russia and Gaming since 2002.  Gaming was Crane’s first major industry in Russia.  Rapid success over the next two years took CashCode from being a new, barely recognizable supplier to a leader in payment systems for international and local OEMs selling slot machines into Russia.  The closure of Russian Gaming in 2009 changed the landscape in Russia; “Most of our customers from the Gaming industry migrated to other applications such as VLT and service payment terminals but again – Russia will survive”.

Hans Lim Han heads up the Crane Payment Solutions office in Singapore.  With a strong background in the transportation and vending industries he grew National Rejectors’ (NRI) into an important and well-known supplier in the region.  Speaking on Gaming however, Hans Lim says, “Being a Singaporean, I have the intuitive ability to understand the Asian mentality of trying their luck to hit it big in a Casino”.  For this reason he says, it is no accident that gaming in Asia is already big business.
