Jess Jorge Chavez Munoz appointed casino general manager at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Hard Rock International – with locations from Bali and San Diego to Singapore and Macau – announces Jess Jorge Chavez-Muñoz as the new casino general manager at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, located on Macao Beach in the Dominican Republic, and representing Hard Rock’s first all-inclusive Hotel & Casino, as well as the largest casino in the country.
Chavez-Muñoz will be responsible for overall administration and backstage direction of the casino, partnering with both Hard Rock and hotel executives to develop and execute plans, as well as manage the Hard Rock’s renowned vibe throughout the casino. As the new general manager, he will provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure successful operations, and is responsible for meeting and advancing the company’s vibrant mission and objectives.  
“Mr. Chavez-Muñoz’s nearly 30 years of experience in the casino industry – during which time he has focused on leadership, strategic awareness and operational accountability – is the perfect match to lead casino operations at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana,” said Michael Shindler, executive vice president of Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos.  
Jess Jorge Chavez- Muñoz holds extensive global experience in the gaming industry, most recently serving as casino director of Intercontinental Hotel & Casino in Puerto Rico and previously as general manager of Crowne Plaza Casino, in Venezuela. Along with a deep understanding of successful casino operations throughout the world, Chavez- Muñoz boasts management experience from Grosvenor Casinos and Festival Cruise ship “Bolero,” as well as casino management positions in Peru, Russia, South Africa, London and the UK.
The 1,800 room Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is situated on pristine sugar white sands stretching 121-acres along Macao Beach in the Dominican Republic.
