There is no world event that has obtained results of outstanding growth year-on-year like SAGSE Buenos Aires. Surely it is about time a special prize is awarded to Monografie S.A., organizers of the Argentine gaming show.
It is now down to their country’s Industry Ministry to do justice to these supreme over-achievers who, with 400% growth in five years, have provided the meeting point par excellence for all gaming industry players.
Monografie’s report on SAGSE Buenos Aires 2006, which today is without doubt the world’s third major gaming event, expounds not only on industry growth on a global level but, more importantly, on strong regional trends. Visitors to the Argentine event at 6,830 went 20% up on last year’s show with 5,713, and in keeping with the same yearly increment the organizers are forecasting 1,370 more visitors for 2007.
The same five-year exercise has seen 300% growth on exhibitors, reaching 171 at the event this year. Giorgio Gennari, Monografie president, told us that around 33 new businesses will exhibit in the 25,000 square metres of the Centro Costa Salguero in SAGSE Buenos Aires 2007, programmed for 3, 4, and 5 October next year. Knowing Mr. Gennari as we do, for the consistency of his work throughout the industry organizing his events since 1993, we’ll wager it’s a sure winner.
Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?
