Ice Preview - Signs4u
On stand 3340 you can meet the company responsible for some of the most striking signage in the world of casinos…
Published:  01 January, 2007

Signs4u is going through an exciting period, having recently expanded to a staff of 25 to accommodate additional work that has been flooding in.

The company, based in Holland, counts gaming giants like IGT, WMS, Aristocrat and Atronic among its clients, but they do not let the size of a customer or job affect how they work.

As Jan Spies of Signs4u explains, their approach is to treat each customer as special: “It’s one sign at a time, really. When a customer comes in, we help them as much as we can – even if they buy only a couple of thousand dollars or euros worth of signs, they’re still a customer. And don’t forget, a small customer can be a big customer in the future!”

The company has just finished a signage project for the recent Holland Casino in Leeuwarden. They also delivered all the signage for Multi Level Progressives Carnival Jackpot (Aristocrat), Cash Fever (Atronic) and Party Jackpot (WMS), plus some bonus signs.

The company also makes IGT’s signage, which is generally very impressive. One of their finest pieces of work can be seen on Three Kingdom Wars, a Sega adaptation which is set to wow the Macau market soon. Major Jackpots, another IGT machine for the Asian market, was also on show at G2E with Signs4u’s work prominently displayed on top.

For ICE, Signs4u say they are supplying most of the signage for IGT’s stand, plus the signs for WMS’s Monopoly range.

Of their impressive new work, Atronic’s King Kong Cash is a large, impressive sign which again is the work of Signs4u, and also some of Novomatic’s signage. They are supplying between 20 and 25 signs for various exhibitors at ICE, so you’ll be able to see their work all around the venue.

They’re not about to rest on their laurels though, as they have a new order from Holland Casino, a regular customer, to provide signage for their Mega Millions Jackpot to be ready for March. These signs will incorporate Philips 3D screens and will comprise a total of 18 signs for Holland Casinos’ various venues.

Holland Casinos’ Jelle van Battum, of their product management department, says of Signs4u: “Holland Casino has decided, after careful evaluation of possible suppliers, to select Signs 4U for the production of 18 new signs for our E-Millions WAP. This based on their translation of our ideas, their proven track record with Holland Casino and pricing. We think that our new sign concept for the WAP will be a definite eye-catcher.”

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
