Octavian & Hot Games sign joint AWP agreement
Published:  01 January, 2007

Octavian International and Hot Games have signed a Heads of Agreement to jointly develop Section 31 and Section 34 server-based games for the UK AWP market.

Octavian will be responsible for content development while Hot Games will provide distribution/sales channels for the new games into its UK customer base, as well as market, legislative and platform integration expertise.

It is expected that the first development under the joint venture will be S.34 £25/£35 Jackpot AWP video content for sever-based gaming.

Looking ahead to the proposed collaboration, Heath Samples, Managing Director of Hot Games said: “The quality of Octavian’s game content is well known in the industry. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with their games development experts on what promises to be a very exciting series of projects.”

Robert Dykstra, General Manager Octavian Europe, explained the deal more fully: “Hot Games have an excellent understanding of the AWP and coin-op markets, and strong commercial links in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. They will provide know-how on legislative and regulatory issues, on game requirements and platform integration, all of which will help us create S.31 and S.34 content that really performs for both the operator and the end customer.”

Though the agreement initially covers games for the UK, it is likely that jointly developed content will be rolled out to other European countries in the future.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
