Work is underway on Stanley’s brand new £7million Nottingham Circus casino. The 30,000 square foot development, on Burton Street, will open during Spring 2007. The casino will create over 150 new jobs for the area.

The Circus is being built on the site of the Corner House, Nottingham’s premier leisure and entertainment complex. The casino will be the largest in the East Midlands and will offer the best in modern gaming technology, including a state of the art electronic gaming lounge featuring the latest jackpot slots, as well as all the favourite table games such as Poker, Blackjack and Roulette.

Amongst the team will be a new Head Chef and Assistant Chef, who will oversee a brand new restaurant, 110 Restaurant and Bar, and will boast a mouth watering contemporary menu. The restaurant will also feature a striking glass kitchen and customers will be able to watch the chefs at work as their meal is prepared.

The casino will also feature a luxurious bar area, perfect for meeting friends and colleagues, while the spacious card room, one of the largest in the UK, will host regular poker nights, including tuition for beginners.

General Manager, Jimmy Howard, explains: “The whole team and I are excited about our move into Nottingham. I am sure it will be a great addition to Nottingham’s vibrant nightlife.”

Stanley Casinos currently owns 46 casinos across the UK. Later in 2007 the company will open Circus Casinos in Edinburgh, Liverpool and Plymouth.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
