MEI makes appointment
Published:  01 February, 2007

MEI has appointed Mark Staudt as their Eastern Americas Sales Director for gaming. Staudt joins the team replacing Mark Greenawalt who was recently promoted to Director of European Sales.

In this role, Staudt will be responsible for a number of new corporate accounts as well as further developing casino relationships throughout the US and Canada. Staudt will further enhance MEI’s value proposition with their expanding client base.

Mr. Staudt hails from Delaware and has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry with MBNA America Bank and MBNA Canada. As a First Vice President, Mark gained extensive experience in sales and sales management across various industries including banking, professional sports associations (NFL, NHL, and CFL), and Colleges and Universities. Staudt’s former position is very appropriate to his new role because his knowledge of sales in the financial industry are directly associated with MEI’s value proposition of enhancing profit for casinos.

Staudt is a former triathlete who competed in Olympic distance races in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas, and he continues to challenge himself today as a fitness enthusiast. He recently relocated to the West Chester area with his wife and three daughters and is very excited about his new position: “Coming from outside the industry it is clear this is a very exciting time for the MEI gaming team, and for me to be joining the market leader. MEI has a terrific group of Associates and I hope to add value with continued growth,” said Staudt. Tom Nugent, MEI’s VP of Gaming believes that Staudt is a great addition to the team: “Mark’s years of experience in the financial transaction industry are an excellent lead into his responsibilities with MEI. We expect to continue our double digit sales growth with the addition of associates of Mark’s caliber,” said Nugent.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
