Jon Bruford, Casino International editor, has entered the 2007 Las Vegas marathon to be run on December 2. He has entered to raise money for the charity Kidscape, a UK-based anti-bullying charity which offers bullying victims assertiveness training to avoid future bullying, runs a helpline for the parents of bullied children and a whole lot more besides. The charity employs just five people full-time but they manage to help hundreds of children every year. With the backing of the casino industry, Jon hopes to raise thousands of pounds to help Kidscape for years to come. He will be seeking sponsorship pledges from casino operators and gaming manufacturers based on successful completion of the 26.2-mile course, which runs right down the famous Las Vegas Strip. If you are interested in pledging your support to Jon, finding out more or just asking how he intends to run 26.2 miles in the first place, email jonbruford@yahoo.co.uk and let him know. Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
