GLI ITALIA SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH AAMS
Published:  01 March, 2007

Building on a solid reputation and expanding services, GLI Italia has signed its Testing Accreditation Agreement for the Italian Comma 6A jurisdiction. This took place during a meeting with the Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS) in Rome.

GLI Italia also received the latest versions of the protocol documentation and a set of smart cards required to conduct the testing. Additionally, AAMS gave GLI Italia the updated set of clarifications for the new game standard.

As a sign of market demand, GLI Italia has already received requests from a number of manufacturers for appointments to submit their games for certification.

“The work my staff has put in over the past four months has placed us in an ideal position. We are now ready to receive the Comma 6A games and certify them to the NewSlot 2 standard,” said Roger Farrell, Director of Operations and Engineering at GLI Europe BV.

Farrell added: “Our laboratory in Bologna with its proximity to the software development process provides the manufacturer with an efficient certification process and ensures the shortest possible time to market.”

GLI Italia is one of nine test and certification laboratories operated around the world by GLI. Test results and certificates are transferred internally between GLI Labs to provide worldwide reach for manufacturers.

GLI Italia staff attended the recent ICE show in London, where they were available to speak about the new submission requirements and details of the testing processes.

GLI provides test and certification services for more than 400 jurisdictions. Italian manufacturers are taking advantage of this service by submitting product to GLI Italia for certification to the requirements of jurisdictions in the rest of Europe, the USA, South America and Asia.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
