Well, ICE is far behind us now, and what a fantastic show it was. Of course, much has happened since the show ended, not least the announcement from the UK’s Casino Advisory Panel on the best location for the country’s ‘supercasino’ project.
Surprising just about everyone, they opted for Manchester. It was a surprise for a number of reasons, but when one analyses what the panel said, the Manchester proposal seems to have been perfectly put together, with emphasis on the sociological impact such a casino could have and how they will manage the potential downsides of such a grand development.
You can read about the press reaction in the UK to the decision on pages 28 and 29, and our news section also opens with a piece on the decision, which looks set to run and run.
Also, part one of our ICE review is on page 30, nine pages on the world’s most exciting casino exhibition.
