Editor's Comment - July/August 2006
Published:  01 July, 2006

This is an exciting issue for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it’s the first issue of Casino International that will be available digitally – not only will it be on our web site at www.casinointernational-online.com, which is currently being put together, it will be available as a streaming Flash object online, in a perfect digital representation of the print publication, ads and all.

In fact, as it’s Flash, we’re now able to make those adverts interactive and animated, and there are a couple of examples on there you have to see. To get to the Flash version, you should have received an email with a link in to get to it. If you didn’t get an email with a link in, email casino@datateam.co.uk and we’ll get you on the list. This doesn’t mean we’re cutting back on the print operation, far from it – it just means our thousands of international readers will be able to see the magazine as soon as we finish it, rather than waiting for the post! In other news, we’re combining our July and August issues, which allows us to do two things: make a very tasty addition to the September issue which I can’t give away too much on, and also make a bigger September issue, in time for some of the large international exhibitions. All in all, these are exciting times for the magazine, and we’re working very hard behind the scenes to maintain our success and improve the product. Your feedback is vital to the magazine, and as ever, it is invited to jonbruford@yahoo.co.uk Enjoy. Jon Bruford, Editor jonbruford@yahoo.co.uk

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
