GPI completes Planet Hollywood order
Published:  01 July, 2007

Gaming Partners International has completed an order valued at approximately $1 million from the new Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas.

GPI was selected as the sole table game equipment supplier for Planet Hollywood’s state-of-the-art gaming area, featuring 95 table games, providing all chips, RFID readers, layouts, dice, playing cards and the gaming tables themselves. The gaming chip order includes GPI’s exclusive low-frequency RFID chips in denominations of $25 and up.

GPI worked closely with the Planet Hollywood management team on the design and creation of deluxe gaming tables, creative graphic layouts and state-of-the-art gaming chips.

Gerard Charlier, President and CEO of GPI, said: “We are extremely proud to have been selected as the exclusive table game equipment supplier for Planet Hollywood’s launch. Their early adoption of RFID gaming chips demonstrates the management group’s commitment to deploying the highest security possible while maximizing the aesthetic appeal of their gaming area. We look forward to a long relationship with the Planet Hollywood group.”

Ken Mumby, Vice President of Casino Operations at Planet Hollywood added: “Anyone who visits our new casino floor is immediately impressed with the way GPI’s state-of-the-art products work within our new unique, luxurious environment. We truly succeeded in making our casino floor a must-see in Las Vegas.”

Planet Hollywood is located on the former site of the Aladdin Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
