Casinos Austria completes second CHIP CASH installation
Published:  01 September, 2007
Another successful CHIP CASH installation for Atronic Systems

Atronic Systems has now completed the second installation of its cashless system, CHIP CASH in one of Casinos Austria’s casinos. The deal signed earlier this year was for Atronic Systems to install CHIP CASH in all 12 of Casinos Austria’s casinos by the middle of 2009. The aim is to make all the casinos fully coinless.

The first installation was carried out in February 2006 in Casino Velden located in the Austrian state of Carinthia. After the successful introduction and operation of CHIP CASH in Velden, Casinos Austria decided in spring 2007 to roll out the CHIP CASH module into all of their operations. The second installation was completed on the 18th June in Casino Wien in Vienna covering 182 slot machines with another 3-4 installations being scheduled to be finalized in 2007.

Atronic Systems Director of Sales and Marketing, Anette Jauch said: “We are especially excited about this recent installation as it is the first ever fully multi-site link designed around the original CHIP CASH concept. This means that there is one database in each casino linked to Casinos Austria’s headquarters in Vienna which allows players who possess a CHIP CASH smart card from one casino to utilise it in the other casino. Once all twelve casinos are fully operational with CHIP CASH players will have the added benefit of being able to visit any of the casinos within the Casinos Austria Group and use the same card every time.”

In other news, Atronic Systems recently upgraded the existing slot accounting system to player tracking in 20 casinos of the Moliflor Loisirs Group in France. (Work pictured below.)

The Moliflor Loisirs Group is the third largest casino operator in France and dates back to its inception in the late 1940s. Previously to the recent installation, the group had Atronic Systems’ player tracking installed in three casinos. The project was to then outfit a further 12 casinos from offline slot accounting to player tracking and another six casinos from online slot accounting to player tracking, all before the mid-June deadline. All casinos were successfully completed with the exception of one casino which had been postponed to September 2007 at the customer’s request.

Atronic Systems’ player tracking is a functionality of Star|MARKETING, just one of the modules from the successful GALAXIS modular system solution. Player tracking assists the casino in the collection and management of player data. Through getting to know player profiles casinos can understand their preferences and tailor marketing strategies to suit player’s needs. Player tracking monitors player development with regards to transaction types, competitions and rewards points. This enables the casino to initiate promotions such as Happy Hours, and boost gaming during normally quiet periods, and to develop loyalty programs to reward their best players and increase customer service offered in their casino.

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
