PokerPro, the electronic poker table game, has proved a success in Germany for exclusive European distributor Aristocrat. Casino Wiesbaden, in central Germany, has recently installed a second ten-seat table thanks to the success of the first installation. This follows what the Casino’s Slot Manager, Siamak Houshmand has described as ‘exceptional and consistent success’ enjoyed by the inaugural table. This was installed at the beginning of March, since when it has been getting around 50 hands an hour and up to ten or more reservations on the game each night.

Tim Klok, European Manager – Multi Table Gaming for Aristocrat Technologies, said: “Casino Wiesbaden has certainly embraced the huge commercial opportunity represented by PokerPro. It has an extremely progressive management team with whom we will be implementing a strategic marketing and promotional campaign to mark the launch of the second PokerPro table.”

He added: “Aristocrat offers a complete marketing support package with every install from localised how to play guides, banners, artwork templates, high quality images and launch event support, which allows the casino to roll the product out smoothly. In parallel Aristocrat and their distributors ensure that staff are trained on how the table works and that they achieve optimum performance from the product: all of this is backed by a round the clock service help desk.”

Elsewhere in the country, the unique Aquamarin Casino Seevetal near Hamburg has recently enjoyed its first PokerPro installation.

Part of the Casinos Austria International group, the Aquamarin is Lower Saxony’s first themed-casino, currently the only one of its kind nationwide, featuring slot-machines, multi-roulette and the Niedersachsen-Jackpot all within an underwater world setting. The PokerPro table has been sited in a lounge near an eye-catching centrepiece of the casino, an 8,000 litre aquarium.
