GLI earns Gambloing Commission approval, more
Gaming Laboratories International and GLI Europe have become the first test labs to be provisionally approved by the UK Gambling Commission.
Being provisionally approved by the Gambling Commission means GLI can now accept submissions for the UK market and begin to provide feedback to manufacturers finalizing their development for the new categories of gaming equipment.
GLI Europe General Manager Peter Cercone said, “We have been preparing for the UK market for the last 12 months and are pleased to be the first test house to be provisionally approved by the Gambling Commission. We have increased our engineering resources to cope with the additional work load and look forward to further developing our relationships with the UK AWP and Casino Suppliers. We also look forward to working closely with the Gambling Commission as the technical requirements for all categories are phased into the market.”
Elsewhere in GLI’s global organisation, GLI Australia has appointed a new Managing Director / CEO, with Zelko Galic taking the reins of both GLI Australia operations in Sydney and Adelaide. His appointment is subject to relevant regulatory approval.
GLI has also recently appointed a new Tribal Gaming Representative, with David Zarate joining the company. He most recently served as Director of Coeur d’Alene Tribal Gaming, where he developed gaming rules, internal controls, procedures and staffing. In his position, Zarate directed a large staff and oversaw regulatory compliance for 1,800 gaming devices, a 500-seat bingo hall, off-track betting, and he assisted with interpreting IGRA and gaming compacts.
Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?
