IGT has failed in an attempt to secure an injunction against Las Vegas Gaming Inc (LVGI) on the grounds that LVGI's PlayerVision system infringed IGT's copyright.
Denying IGT's Motion for Preliminary Injunction, the District of Nevada Court found that IGT's motion did not show a likelihood of success, and raised serious questions as to the claims of copyright and other infringements. A court statement explained that "IGT has failed to meet its burden as to the merits of its copyright claims."
LVGI's PlayerVision system is an application delivery vehicle for providing uniform interactive content to primary video slot screens across equipment made by different manufacturers.
The PlayerVision suite of applications includes AdVision, direct custom advertising; PV-TV, which shows an entire show or sporting event; NumberVision, which provides the chance of a "life-changing" jackpot; and WagerVision, which turns video-based slot machines into sports book kiosks.
Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?
