Seminole Tribe and Spotlight 29 choose Bally
Published:  01 March, 2008

Bally Technologies has signed a three-year operating agreement with the Seminole Tribe of Florida to provide an initial order of 2,000 new Class III gaming machines for the Seminole’s seven casinos in Florida.

Bally’s agreement is part of the Seminole Tribe’s initial Class III gaming machine order following the January 08 approval of a new compact between the US Department of the Interior and Florida Governor Charlie Crist that allows Las Vegas-style slot machines and card games at the Seminole’s gaming facilities in Tampa, Hollywood, Immokalee, Coconut Creek, Brighton, and Big Cypress.
“Bally has been a key strategic partner of the Seminole Tribe for a number of years,” said James Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Seminole Gaming.  "We have been impressed with Bally's momentum in both games and systems and are pleased they will be playing an important part in our introduction of Las Vegas-style slot machines with the placement of an initial order of 2,000 games.”
Meanwhile, the company has also signed a comprehensive contract with Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, California to provide Bally Casino Management Systems (CMS) technology, bonusing solutions, and 2,000 interactive iVIEW slot machine displays.
The iVIEW displays in all of the casino’s 2,000 slot machines will allow Spotlight 29 Casino to offer its players Bally Power Rewards, a player-centric feature that enables players who stay at the casino to get credits for play. Bally’s CMS player-tracking technology works in conjunction with the Spotlight 29 Casino website, allowing patrons to access their players club account online to view player points, respond to casino offers, play slot and pit games for fun, make hotel reservations, and much more.
“Selecting Bally’s system technologies will drastically expand and enhance the communications we have with our players, which will help us to better service our patrons’ needs,” said Ray DelFiandra, General Manager of Spotlight 29 Casino. “Bally’s casino management tools are a great way to introduce our players to the concept of bonusing. With iVIEW and the direct link provided by our new CMS internet integration, we can now increase exposure of upcoming casino marketing promotions and custom messaging on every machine and as well as online. iVIEW gives us the ability to better communicate bonusing to our patrons in a very big way.”
“This is just another example of how our customers are finding new ways to utilize the robust features within Bally’s Casino Management Systems,” said Tom Doyle, Vice President of Product Management for Bally Systems. “We are thrilled that our technology will help Spotlight 29 Casino enhance their player mark eting program by generating more avenues to reach the player.”

Poll

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
