FutureLogic have announced that IGT, a subsidiary of International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT), has designated FutureLogic’s GEN2 Universal gaming printer as the default printer for its existing and new gaming platforms. The default designation is effective November 1, 2006 through March 31, 2008.
Designed for easy integration with the next generation of electronic games, the USB-compatible printers were launched this year with IGT’s new Trimline AVP games at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas and MotorCity Casino in Detroit.
The GEN2 Universal printers anticipate new GSA standards for downloadable games and are compatible with existing platforms as well as the next generation of USB games. The printers include three game ports (RS232, NetPlex, and USB 2.0 Full Speed) and a dedicated promotional printing port to enable the latest trend in casino marketing – promotional couponing.
“We are proud to be selected as IGT’s default printer supplier for the sixth consecutive year,” said Nick Micalizzi, vice-president of sales and marketing at FutureLogic. “We look forward to working with them and developing systems that provide a flexible migration path for new gaming technology and promotional activities.”
FutureLogic also recently named Dan Turner as Business Development Manager for Asia. Based in FutureLogic’s new office in Macau, Dan will develop and manage the company’s sales, support and service businesses throughout Asia, with a focus on securing TITO opportunities in Macau casinos.
“I am delighted that Dan has joined FutureLogic’s International Team,” said John Edmunds, General Manager of FutureLogic Europe and International Operations. “His ability to build relationships, his determination to succeed, and his experience with peripheral and systems sales will be key to our success. I look forward to working closely with Dan to establish FutureLogic as the preferred thermal printer for TITO applications in casinos in Macau and across Asia.”
