Octavian International is launching a ‘Powered by Novomatic' variant of the Maverick 1000, its flat-pack Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM) and games kit.
Under an agreement struck with Novomatic, Octavian will supply the Maverick powered by the Novomatic Coolfire I platform, and featuring Novomatic's new HOT SPOT PLATINUM games titles. The companies have worked together for years, with Octavian distributing Novomatic's own gaming machines and games to markets that include Latin America, Russia and CIS.
The Maverick 1000, originally launched at ICE 2007, is a flat-pack gaming machine and games kit designed to help bring networked gaming within the reach of operators in developing gaming markets.
Maverick keeps costs low, achieving saving on duties and taxes, which can be minimised in many markets if machine assembly and adding of content takes place locally - hence the ‘flat pack'.
Staff assembling the Maverick machines require no special electronic or technical skills.
Novomatic's HOT SPOT PLATINUM is a flexible and proven multi-game solution which allows 10 video games to run on a single EGM.
Octavian has partnered with Livewire gaming to produce 15 new titles for the European Amusement with Prizes market. The first of these will be Pirates' Paradice, currently being field-tested in Belgium.
