Aristocrat announces field trial for downloadable solution
Published:  01 November, 2006

Aristocrat has begun a field trial for its Downloadable (DL) Technology and Server-Based solution at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California.

This is the initial phase of Aristocrat’s multi-stage development process for its Downloadable and Server-Based solutions. This product will enable casino operators the ability to change game content and game configurations, while utilizing a user-friendly interface ensuring ease and flexibility on their casino floor.

“Optimizing floor yield is one of the major advantages of downloadable technology, creating an environment for stronger game performance, reducing game deployment time and allowing for instant portfolio management,” says Kent Young, Global General Manager, Marketing for Aristocrat. “Aristocrat DL Technology delivers more efficiency, more titles and more options than ever before, capitalizing on Aristocrat’s proprietary MKVI game content on our MAV500 slot machine.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Aristocrat on this new evolution of gaming,” added Red Wootan, Pechanga’s Vice President of Slot Operations. “Aristocrat’s DL Technology provides us the flexibility to offer the games our players want when they want them.”

“We always strive to be the leaders in technology in the casino and hospitality industry and our partnership with Aristocrat’s downloadable games allows Pechanga Resort & Casino to continue to lead and be Simply the Best,” added Vice President of Information Technology, Rod Luck.

Aristocrat expects to have a commercial version of their Downloadable solution available for deployment in the second half of 2007, pending regulatory approvals.

Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?

  • Yes, almost certainly. It's a great idea.
  • Maybe, with a few revisions it could work.
  • Don't be absurd, it's a crazy plan.
