Inspired Gaming will be basing its Global Network Operations Centre in Bangor, North Wales, creating up to 190 jobs over the next three years.
Inspired is to base its Global Operational Support Services at Technium CAST, Parc Menai, part of the Welsh Assembly Government’s pan-Wales Technium network. The initiative will be supported by a Welsh Assembly Government Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) grant.
The new centre will provide 24/7, multi-lingual technical assistance for Inspired’s customers and operators throughout the world and will be able to remotely control, update and repair its network of open SBG terminals. It will also utilise the expertise at Technium CAST to develop its software technology.
Inspired has a total of over 100,000 coin operated machines throughout the UK and Europe of which some 37,000 operate on its SBG platform. Inspired is growing its network throughout the world, including Australia, Ireland, Eastern Europe and Asia.
Andrew Davies, Minister for Enterprise, Innovation and Networks, said: “Having a strong and rapidly growing software cluster in North West Wales has helped us to attract this type of investment. Technium CAST and the strong cluster around it is proving to be a magnet for attracting good quality investment and employment into the area. This highlights how the Welsh Assembly Government’s investment in new technology and software sectors is attracting greater private sector investment.
He added: “Inspired has a proven track record in supporting the entertainment sector with software and platform solutions. They will be able to support their entire global network remotely from Wales as well as develop new technologies for this rapidly growing market. This highlights how Wales is taking the lead in today’s global technology race.”
Inspired provides consumers with the broadest range of up-to-date music, retail, entertainment, betting and gaming services. From its base at Technium CAST its Global Network Operations Centre will be able to access and control existing SBG terminals situated in locations throughout the World. These include everything from jukeboxes and vending machines to betting terminals.
Luke Alvarez, Co-Chief Executive Officer at Inspired, said: “We are delighted to be able to extend our services to provide full operational support for our open SBG platform – not just to our larger customers, but enabling even the smallest of our operators to continue to prosper more efficiently and effectively through SBG. “We are a rapidly growing company with global ambitions and we need a single operations support centre to control and maintain our SBG network.
“We have begun recruitment and are currently looking for a range of skills, as well as some staff with linguistic abilities to cater for our overseas operations.”
Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?
