Harrah's is the first casino company to use Microsoft Surface, a $10,000 30-inch tablelike display that allows individuals or groups of people to interact with digital content in a way that feels familiar by using touch, gestures or objects from the real world.
Guests in the iBar ultra-lounge at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino can access a suite of custom applications which allow them to play games, mix cocktails, view YouTube videos, take a virtual tour of Harrah's properties and attractions in Las Vegas, and flirt with one another, between tables.
"This launch of Microsoft Surface into our business is another example of our next-generation interactive customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities that aim to deliver personalised, interactive and immersive experiences for guests as they spend time at our properties," said Tim Stanley, Harrah's CIO and senior vice president of innovation, gaming and technology.
Will the plans for Russia's 'remote' gaming areas go ahead as the State Duma has described?
