The ETG specialists are looking forward to G2E Asia with a strong line-up promised.
Interblock goes from strength to strength internationally, and Asia is certainly not immune to the company’s charms or excellence.
With a succession of recent installations adding to an already-impressive market percentage, Interblock is looking to new markets within Asia to continue its growth. Michael Hu, VP Interblock Asia, told Casino International that two key countries for the future will be Laos and Cambodia. He said: “We are looking at Laos and Cambodia for growth, they are regulated markets now and there is potential for us to grow there. We currently have 54 stations installed in Laos, and in Cambodia we have units in its largest casino. .
“Korea is also becoming significant for us; our electronic table games can be found at Jeju-Do Island.”
The Jeju-Do installation is at Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino, and the installation consists of a 26-seat Diamond Stadium composed of a live baccarat dealer table, automated roulette and automated Sic Bo generators. Players have the ability to play up to three games at a time from one play station. Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino will also bring Interblock’s Organic product line to its casino floor including Organic roulette with eight seats and Organic Sic Bo with eight seats.
That installation has been joined by another Korea success, at Golden Crown Casino Daegu. This installation comprises a 30-seat Stadium offering two live baccarat games and one automated roulette that provides players the opportunity to play up to three games simultaneously.
“We are very proud to bring our first electronic table games to Korea with our unique Stadium product offering. This multi-game configuration creates a great introduction to Interblock ETGs for both new and advanced table games players. I am confident Golden Crown Casino Daegu’s players will enjoy this new gaming environment,” said Michael Hu, Vice President of Asia.
The gaming space is composed of thirty play stations with 27-inch monitors that allow players to wager on up to three games at a time; four LCD displays that show live game play, game history and trends; one live baccarat table equipped with two shoes that deliver two baccarat games; and one automated generator that delivers roulette.
Success
We asked Michael, what’s the secret of the company’s Asian success? He explained that it all comes down to relationships, and the company having its own hub in the region. He said: “Our office in Macau is our regional hub from which we provide our services. From there we can cover Macau, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea – the whole region.
“We have had an office in the region for 16 years; we have never worked with an outside agent, distributor or partner in Asia. To that end, we have great relationships with our customers. Our company image, service level, customer expectations, and our commitment to the region are all very strong and our customers are satisfied with our level of support. In Vietnam, our market share is almost 95%, for example; other large vendors are beginning to see the potential in Vietnam and are trying to get into the market, but because we have a strong presence in the country, a proven track-record of success and have served our customers face to face for so many years, we are the dominant vendor.”
Other recent installations include a 50-seat Diamond Stadium within Vietnam’s Muong Thanh Ha Long Hotel’s new VIP gaming destination, Hollywood One Club, and a 50-seat Stadium for Resorts World Genting Malaysia’s Sky Casino.
The company’s name is synonymous with quality and adaptability, says Michael, with further recognition and sales in the Philippines. He added: “In the Philippines, we are also having great success with 80% of market share so far with product in most of the major casinos. Our products, known for their quality, durability and adaptability to the market, combined with our service and commitment to our customers, truly enables us to stand out from the competition.”
Interblock announces G2E Asia participation
Interblock is to exhibit its Stadium, StarBar, MiniStar, eTable, Big Six and Roulette Diamond Station product lines at G2E Asia on stand number 513.
“Asia continues to be one of Interblock’s fastest-growing continents,” said Michael Hu, VP of Asia at Interblock. “We are delighted to showcase some of our latest innovations that have been placed across the region, while displaying the enhancements made to our products based on our customer feedback.”
Interblock’s Stadiums can be configured with automated, video, dealer assist generators and/or live table platforms based on footprint availability. This flexible platform provides operators with the most efficient use of floor space when multiple games are active. At the show, the Stadium will be configured automated and video versions of Roulette, Multi-hand Blackjack, Baccarat and Sic Bo.
Additionally, Interblock’s eTable will be configured for Baccarat – including side bets – with five seats and allows operators to simply press a button to change the game to play with or without a live dealer. The eTable can also support Blackjack.
The Roulette Diamond Station gives operators the opportunity to offer Roulette to venues that cannot place ETGs or live table games, due to space or jurisdictional requirements. The Roulette Diamond Station’s small footprint allows the product to fit perfectly into venues with space limitations. Game cycles can be as fast as a standard spin cycle on a slot machine.
MiniStar Roulette will feature a new ball-chasing light and sound package designed to elevate the player experience. LED lights on the wheel and amplifying sound effects will chase the ball until it drops into a pocket.
Finally, the multi-game StarBar bar top allows players to interact with up to four games simultaneously including Craps, Multi-hand Blackjack, Roulette, Video Poker and more. At the show, StarBar will demonstrate its ability to connect to external generators on Interblock’s booth.
